Reverend Malika Lee
Whitney is an Interfaith Minister ordained in 2005 through the
One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York City. Reverend
Whitney is Artistic Director of Pickney Productions, an arts and
education consortium. As a performing artist she has appeared
extensively on stage, television and in film. Reverend Whitney
is a familiar voice to radio listeners as a producer and host
for many years on WBAI Radio. An acclaimed author of the
book, Bob Marley, Reggae King of the World, she has travelled
extensively throughout the Caribbean, Africa, Central and South
America. Her commitment as a community activist and advocate is
exemplified through work with special needs populations, youth
at risk, seniors and notably in support of the displaced Gulf
residents impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
