By becoming a member, you support our movement to educate and empower NYC through cultural arts and African Diaspora traditional teachings. Your membership dues help support the organization of important events and activities that allow us to reach our Annual Goals of building: a new cadre of practitioners of traditional music, solidarity between people of african descent, and a community who has the skills and knowledge needed to heal ourselves and take care of each other through our culture and spirit.
Membership also provides you with access to our network and reduced admission to our programs. In a time of financial crisis, small organizations count on the support of individuals like you to make sure we can continue meeting our mission of sharing traditional music, dance, history, and spirit, with all of our community. Help us meet our goal of recruiting 100 new members to in 2011 by forwarding this webpage to your fellow people Afro-Caribbeans, African-Americans, and Africans!
Cultural Warrior Basic Membership Level 1
As a cultural warrior, you are entitled to join our e-mail list, attend our annual meeting where we discuss our organization's goals for the year, and have reduced admission ($1 off) to all of our events and free tickets to special events. Your membership donation pays for immediate needs that allow us to keep going day to day, like space rental, flyer printing and design, teacher salaries, etc. This membership is approximately $2/month!- $

Visionary Membership Level 2
As a visionary, your membership allows you all the benefits listed above as well as access to 1-2 special events designed for major donors, such as talks/lunches with special artists and the wise ones of our traditions. You also receive first-access to free tickets and other goodies. Your donation as a visionary member of our community shows that you are aware that it will take a deeper investment to help our people learn more about their culture and apply it to their personal development. This membership costs about $8/month!- $

Force of Nature Membership Level 3
As a force of nature, this membership exemplifies your personal commitment to a transformational return to our roots and traditions, and acknowledges that it takes groups of people, institutions and consistent effort to take our movement to another level.Your membership includes all benefits listed under Cultural Warrior & Visionary membership, as well as half-price entry to all of our events and specially-reserved seating. Your donation supports the critical organizational-building work that builds stability and high-impact in our communities. If you are interested in making a multi-year pledge or petitioning to join our board of directors, please contact manuela@thelegacycircle.org. This membership is less than $50/month! That's about $15/week towards a great cause!- $
